Shortcuts for Search let you discover content and add it to your library — all from a Shortcut workflow.
Search Sofa
Searches for content across all media types. Returns up to 25 results that you can pass to other actions.

Results include the title, type, and cover image for each match.
Chaining with Other Actions
Search results can be passed directly to the Add Search Result to List action. This lets you build workflows like:
- Search Sofa for “Dune”
- Choose from results
- Add to your “Movies to Watch” list
Look Up by ID
Looks up a specific piece of content using its external API identifier. This is useful for cross-app workflows where another app or service knows the content’s ID.
